HI! It is me Everet Bear, today is my first birthday. I did so much in my first year. I trained along side Delisle Doherty and his son Nick and climbed to base camp on Mount Everest. I nearly died on the mountain when Delisle nearly knocked me off a cliff 3,000 feet to my death. Good thing I was able to grab hold. It was so funny when Nicks boogers froze in his beard. Good times! I also trained along side Rich Bonn as he reaches his goal to lose 100 pounds for Joe Joe Bear Foundation to raise money. He pledged $10 per pound lost up to 100 by June. I have to say he is half the man he was as he has almost already hit his goal.

I do have to say my favorite part of this past year has been working as the spokes bear for Joe Joe Bear Foundation. It is so rewarding knowing that I am helping put smiles on sick childrens faces. I know how important a bear is as Joe had Joe Joe bear by his side until he past. That bear stayed by his side when no one else could be, like when he went for testing.

I had so much fun today for my birthday! First I went to lunch at Panera Bread on I-10 in Katy. I made so many new friends there. I even had my picture taken with them. We are havign trouble uploadign them to the website so wehn we get that fixed they will be posted. Then we went bear shopping. Oh how I love that! It is so much fun shopping for bears as I know that it will make so many sick kids happy and put smiles on their faces.

I was going to go out for a cupcake tonight but it is really cold outside so I’m going to wait until tomorrow when it is a little warmer. But they are making me double chocolate chocolate chip cookies. I think I am going to have a big glass of milk with them. Yummmy!!

Well good night! I’ll check in tomorrow ans see how you all are. Stay warm!

Local Clinical Fitness Training Studio Commits to Raising Money to Buy New Teddy Bears for Children with Cancer and Other Life Threatening Illnesses

Katy, Tx, Will Denyko of “Athletic Nation Personal Training Studio”, announces the “Joe Joe Bear Foundation” charity drive aimed to raise money for children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses, and to promote fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle.

”The current economic state has drastically reduced the amount of donations being made to charities and non-profit organization. So we’ve decided to kill two birds with one stone. By encouraging local neighbors to join a program where $100 of the first monthly fee will go to buying teddy bears for the children to hold when they are scared and lonely since their families may not be able to be with them 24/7 – this is fitness with a purpose,” says Will Denyko, certified personal trainer and owner of Athletic Nation Personal Training Studio, Katy, Tx.

The “Joe Joe Bear” charity drive will take place from October 11 – November 30th at [Athletic Nation Personal Training Studio(2944 S. Mason Rd. Ste. F Katy, Tx. 77450-(281)693-3656)and My Fit Body Boot Camps 4 U locations(21925 Franz Rd. Katy, Tx. 77449)(12620 W. Airport Blvd. Ste.170 Sugarland, Tx. 77478)-(832)314-3656). The various fitness activities include fun exercises in a group or individual atmosphere designed to burn fat, firm and tone the entire body.

”This is just a fun and social way to introduce an alternative to the boring workouts and at the same time help our youth have comfort nearby 24/7,” explains Will Denyko. “Honestly, I can’t think of a better way make a difference in your health, while comforting our youth.”

Wow what an amazing time we had this past weekend at the Appleseed Express Carwash event. I was walking around meeting so many new people, all the small children grabbing onto my legs and giving me hugs. I also got to play with a zebra from the petting zoo.

We are in first place so far. Keep voting for us. All you have to do is go to the carwash and get you car washed an give us a vote. The money we can win will help so many children. More acuratly 1000! Can you imagine 1000 children in just the Houston area being that ill that they need a bear? It is true. Every month the Joe Joe Bear Foundation give 340 bears to area hospitals. That isn’t even all the Hospitals in Houston just 4.

Our demand for bears in December increases. Can you imagine being in the hospital on Christmas? In December we deliver 1000 bears. 500 alone to MD Anderson Cancer Center. These bears are all of a huggable size giving us a bigger challenge to meet our demand.

So please go vote for Joe Joe Bear Foundation. You ahve to wash your car anyway!

I will be at the Appleseed Express Carwash Friday from 3-7pm. We will have ice cream and I will be walking around greating everyone. We were chosen as one of the first three non-profits to compete in a unique fundraising and friend-raising opportunity called “The Appleseed Challenge” sponsored by the Appleseed Express Carwash. This new carwash, located at the corner of Fry Rd and Little York in Katy, has as its core focus to eliminate the negative influences plaguing today’s children.

The Appleseed Challenge is a fun contest designed to raise awareness and funds for non-profits that help the kids in Katy reach their full potential. During September and October, users of the carwash can vote for the 1000 Bear Challenge at the self-pay kiosk or online. In addition to considerable awareness and increased donations, the non-profit with the most votes will receive seed money from The Appleseed Group in the amount of $7,000.

To VOTE for funding for the 1000 Bear Challenge, visit the carwash between September 23 and October 31. A single wash ($5.99 – $12.99) is equal to ONE VOTE and a monthly unlimited wash membership ($24.99 – $39.99) is equal to TEN VOTES. To sign up for a monthly membership or for additional information on the Appleseed Challenge, please visit the Appleseed Express Carwash website at www.appleseedexpress.com. You can also donate to us directly on our website.

I am so excited about this opportunity! Bring your camera and get your picture taken with me!

I’m not sure how many pounds Rich Bonn has lost as he has not gotten back to me yet tonight on that. He is at a High School football game. He loves high school football. But I do know he is looking half the man he use to be. I (Everet Bear) workout with him and he is working real hard to get in shape and raise money for the Joe Joe Bear Foundation. He is very dedicated to the cause and to getting healthy. Rich taking care of himself is great. We all need to take care of ourselves and get in shape, it will make us all feel so much better. If we all did it for the sick children even better!!! Think about the impact we all can have a a child while taking care of ourself. I love the concept pounds for bears, dollars for bears. For pounds lost and moeny raised think about all the bears we can purchase for the children. Do you know for as little as $5.00 you can impact a childs life? Just $5.00 can buy a bear. The more money we raise the more bears we can purchase. The more bears we purchase the better pricing we get from our wholesalers, better prices mean more bears. Are we seeing a patter yet?

Think about how you can help a child and let me know if I canhelp you. Good night all!
